Marco Pedrini
Marco Pedrini was born in 1983 in Codogno, Italy. From a young age he showed a great interest in both playing music and woodworking. Pedrini began studying violin making at the International Violinmaking School in Cremona at the age of 14, where he studied with master luthier Giorgio Cé. In 2000 he recieved the “Grandi – Taglietti” award for the most promising student. Upon his graduation in 2002, he enrolled in a professional course in Lombardy. He also served as an apprentice for Giorgio Grisales. In 2007, he opened his own shop in Castelnuovo Bocca d’Adda, but he has since moved to the historic center of Cremona, where he continues his work today.
Pedrini models his instruments after several old masters, including Stradivari, Guarneri, and G.B. Guadagnini. He also draws inspiration from master makers Giuseppe Ornati, Matteo Goffriller, and Ferdinando Garimberti.
