Giacomo Bisiach

1900 – 1995

 

Giacomo Bisiach was born in 1900 in Milan and died in 1995 in Venegono Superiore Italy. He was a cellist and violinmaker, the son and pupil of Leandro Bisiach. He often partnered with his brother, Leandro II. The brothers were especially known for copies of Guarneri and Guadagnini models. After WWII, they established a workshop with Igino Sderci and several other craftsman, where they worked until their official retirement in 1973. Giacomo continued to work until his death in 1995.
