Alessandro Gambarin
Alessandro Gambarin was born in July of 1979 in Saint Etienne, France. In 1997, he moved to Cremona to study at the Istituto Professionale Internazionale Per L’Artigianato Liutario E Del Legno (International Professional Institute for Wood and Lumber Crafts). After graduating in 2002, Gambarin began an apprenticeship under Stefano Trabucchi. He opened his own shop in Cremona in 2006.
Since the opening of his workshop, Gambarin has been making high quality instruments, particularly violins, that are known for their impressive woods and varnishes. He has drawn his inspiration from the models of Amati, Guarneri, and Stradivari. More recently, Gambarin has continued his practice in violin making with Gianluca Zanetti in Mantova. Together they promote their business mainly on Facebook, where they constantly update customers on the progress of their work.
