This fine German-made violin bow was the work of Egidius Doerfler (1919-1981), co-founder of the Doerfler bow making family business, made circa 1975.

Stamped “W.E. Hill & Son England”. Later frog and button. Ivory tip plate. Original whalebone winding.

Branded “J P Bernard-Bruxelles”.

A good player’s bow stamped “Caressa & Francais Paris”, possibly German in origin.

Stamped “Manoel Francisco * *”.
