Carl Becker, Chicago 1946

Becker’s famed workmanship is evident in this violin. The fine varnish of Becker’s own making is a golden orange color. The top is made from two pieces of spruce with narrow to medium width grain. The back is made from two pieces of attractive, highly figured maple. The violin has a tone of excellent quality and power. It is labeled “Carl Becker / with William Lewis & Son / no. 471 Chicago, 1946.”
