Scrollavezza and Zanre

Elisa Scrollavezza and Andrea Zanre are both dedicated to the making of string instruments as well as restoration, cultural activities, and historical research in the realm of classical instruments. Both luthiers studied under Elisa’s father, Renato Scrollavezza, who was a famous luthier and the Director of the Parma School of Violin Making. Later, the duo attended classes on restoration, acoustics, and construction of replicas of classical instruments. Their primary work is in making new instruments based on the tradition of Emilia-Romagna. The Scrollavezza and Zanre instruments are highly esteemed around the world, as their work has received several awards and the appreciation of many musicians and collectors around the world. In addition, the two teach at the Renato Scrollavezza School of Violin Making and hold directive roles in the Liuteria Parmense association. Elisa is a member of the Entente Internationale des Luthiers et Archetiers.
