Mario Daoglio

Mario Daoglio was born in the 1920s in Suzzara, near Mantua. Daoglio showed an interest in music at an early age but he was too poor to purchase an instrument himself. He started studying under master craftsman Vasco Pecchini of Suzzara and built his first violin as a teenager. Daoglio became an internationally renowned maker famous for his ingenuity in violin making and his use of black poplar and maple.
