Hughes Emile Blondelet was born in 1875. Blondelet joined the Thibouville-Lamy Workshop in Mirecourt when he was just 15 years old. He became known for his excellent workmanship and his Amati and Stradivarius violin models. At the age of 33, he was appointed co-director of the Thibouville-Lamy firm.
