Dimitar Zarkov
Dimitar Zarkov is a native of Bulgaria who studied violin making in Cremona, Italy. His style of making is Italian in every respect including wood choice, models and varnish. He follows the classic Stradivari, Guarneri, and Amati patterns. Working alone, he handcrafts each instrument using traditional woodworking techniques plus modern scientific apparatus to evaluate plate tuning. The result is a beautiful instrument with exceptional tonal properties priced well below its Italian counterpart.
