Benvenuto Botturi

Benvenuto Botturi was born in 1882 in Gambera, a town in the province of Brescia. He attended the Cremona School of Violinmaking and later became a pupil of Luigi Diguini in Cremona. Botturi established himself in Brescia where he worked until 1941, when he retired from professional violin and bow making. Botturi won various awards for his instruments and participated in the International Exhibition of Cremona in 1937 with two violins and a viola.
