Eastman Workshop

Eastman produces its instruments in the tradition of 17th century German luthiers. They use aged spruce and maple wood carefully selected for optimal durability. Craftsmen are trained from apprenticeship to produce the most high-quality work, with attention to playability and aesthetic appearance. Their perfected professional model is designed for concert hall projection, with a multi-layer varnishing technique that lends dimensional beauty to the body of the instrument.

Eastman instruments are renowned for their complexity and richness of tone. Because of this, they are a favorite of contemporary professionals. Musicians including Neyla Pekarek, Andres Martin, Ada Pasternak, and Nisanne Howell play Eastman instruments. Most recently, Neyla Pekarek was photographed with an Eastman cello for the cover of Strings Magazine.
