Alvaro Corrochano
Alvaro Corrochano is a young maker with extraordinary talents making both instruments and bows. He completed his studies at the Violin Making School of Gubbio-Umbria, Italy in 1999. In 2001, he opened his own workshop in Milan. In 2008, he moved to Neuchatel, Switzerland, to join the workshop of Philippe Girardin. Most recently he joined the Reed Yeboah Fine Violins workshop in New York, where does restoration work in addition to constructing his own instruments.
Corrochano has exhibited his work at the Cremona Mondomusica fair and Frankfurt Musikmesse. He received an award in the Pisogne International Competition in 2014.
