W.E. Hill & Sons, Silver/Ivory

A fine bow from the Hill shops, made circa 1928 by one of their best makers, Alfred Leeson. The octagon stick is made from reddish-brown pernambuco with a ringed figure. The tip plate is silver with the number “3” stamped under the hair. The winding is the original whalebone. The ivory frog is in mint condition, with no cracks or discoloration. The adjuster is silver over ebony. The bow is in virtually mint condition. The stick has good strength, balance and very good action.
