W.E. Hill & Sons, gold & tortoiseshell Fleur de lys

This bow is a very fine example from the workshop of W.E. Hill & Sons. This bow was most likely made by William Grieve Johnston, a maker in the Hill workshop. It has an octagonal stick and gold winding. The tip plate is also made of gold. The frog is made of tortoise shell with gold fleur de lys inlay. The button has two gold bands with pearl in between them.
