Nicolas Maline, Silver/Ebony

This is a very fine bow by Nicolas Maline. The stick is round and has a length of 73.1 cm. The bow’s weight is 59.3 g. It is of an orange-brown pernambuco of excellent quality. The frog is of ebony and silver and has a mother-of-pearl eye in each side. The button, made recently for the bow in the proper style, is in three-piece form and its collar has a second cut. The bow is in excellent condition and bears Maline’s brand-stamp and the brand of the Legion d’Honneur. The bow is to be sold with a photo certificate by Paul Childs, Montrose, NY (September 2010).
