Johannes Theodorus Cuypers, The Hague 1792
This violin is a very fine example of Cuypers’ craftsmanship and is in superb condition. It has a one piece spruce top and a striking one piece maple back with pronounced medium width flame. The varnish is a lustrous golden-brown. Its sound is warm and colorful with sweetness and clarity.
