Jacques Pierre Thibout, Paris 1828

This violin model is reminiscent of the Lupot style. It is in excellent condition. The back is made from one piece of highly figured maple. The top is made from two pieces of narrow grained spruce widening at the flanks. The violin is very handsomely varnished with a medium red-brown varnish shaded to an amber ground. It possesses a bold, rich sound with clarity and brilliance.
