German, Labeled “Georg Kloz in Mittenwald 1737”, made c. 1780

A Fine German violin, probably made in Mittenwald in the closing decades of the 18th century. This violin features a dark red-brown varnish over a golden ground. (Photos and sound recording coming soon)
