German Bass, c. 1900

This fine German bass is labeled “Jacinto Santagiuliana fecit vicetiae anno 18—”. The varnish is a rich, dark red-brown over an amber ground. Its back is of two piece maple with medium to broad flaming. The side, neck, and scroll are made of lightly flamed maple. The top is made from two pieces of medium grained spruce, widening at the edges. The string length is 42 and ¼ inches.
