Francois Lupot II, Silver/Ebony

This is a very fine and rare bass bow by Francois Lupot II, Paris circa 1820. It is to be sold with the photo certificate of Paul Childs which reads as follows: “The stick is octagonal and has a length of 65.75 cm. It is of a very dark red-brown pernambuco of excellent quality. The head is of an individual hatchet model. The frog is of ebony with a silver ferrule and has plain sides. The button is of silver on ebony and its collar has a single cut. At this time this very rare bow is in excellent condition. Montrose (NY) 31 May 2011”.
