Elisa Scrollavezza, Parma 1990

The influence of Renato Scrollavezza, Elisa’s father and prominent maker, is very clear in this instrument, particularly in its broad arching and confident styling. It has a brilliant and focused tone, a quality that is highly sought after in contemporary Italian instruments. Its varnish is of a bright, vivid orange color. The top is made from two pieces of spruce with fine to medium width grain, and the back is made from two pieces of figured maple.
