E.M. Poellmann, Neumarkt-Sankt 1975

This is an exceptional 3/4 size bass by E.M. Poellmann. The E.M. Poellmann company has been producing a wide array of high quality basses since the early 1900’s. This bass is a Busseto model with elaborate carving around the edges of the top, sides, back, and scroll. The back is from two pieces of highly figured maple with matching sides and neck. The top is from two pieces of broadly grained spruce. The varnish is of a medium amber-brown color. The bass is branded “Poellmann” on the neck button and has a string length of 41 inches. The instrument is in original (unused) condition.
