Bohemian double bass, mid-19th century

This lovely instrument has been used by a professional musician in performances  around the US and abroad for the past thirty years. Playing everything from jazz to baroque, and classical to modern music this instrument has been used in countless recordings from baroque to PBS documentaries, film scores and live broadcasts. Concerts at the Washington National Cathedral, St John’s the Divine(NYC), the Kennedy Center, the National Gallery Orchestra, the Washington Ballet, the Virginia, Richmond and Maryland Symphonies in addition to playing opera and choral music with countless groups and in churches in DC and the rest of the country.  “Bass” has premiered shows in DC nominated for best new score and musical at the Helen Hayes Awards,  and for such leaders as the  several Vice Presidents and at multiple embassy concerts for diplomats from around the globe.
