Vincenzo Cavani
Vincenzo Cavani was born in 1889 in Spilamberto, Italy. He was the son of maker Giovanni Cavani, a pupil of Leandro Bisiach. Around 1900 he started in the Bisiach workshop and at the early age of 11 he completed his first violin.
Cavani focused on classical models, particularly Pietro Guarneri models for his instruments. He most often used a golden-red varnish. He made a great number of instruments during his career but he never sacrificed excellent quality.
