Giuseppe Tarasconi, Milan c. 1900

This instrument, in the style of Guarneri del Gesu, is one of his finest productions. It is in excellent condition. The varnish is ample and lustrous; it is in his typical orange-brown color over a golden ground. The back is of two pieces of broadly flamed maple with ribs to match, the scroll has a medium flame. The top is two matched pieces of spruce of medium to wide grain.
