German, Unlabeled Bass, c. 1880-1890

A lovely German made bass from the late 19th century featuring a dark, red-brown varnish.  This instrument has a fine, warm tone with evenness across the strings and rich tone color.   This bass has a C extension.  (photographs in preparation)
